The Tree and Beautification Committee would like to thank the city crew for the excellent care given the flower barrels on Center Street and the well-kept parks and streets throughout the city. They believe the city has never looked better. They have great plans for the Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. Watch for further details in the next city newsletter.

We wish to thank the Tree and Beatification Committee for all their work.

FALL CLEANUP: Fall cleanup starts October 11. We live in a windy city so grass clippings and leaves should be bagged in sturdy bags. They are near impossible to haul otherwise. Please remove all vehicles and trailers from the alleys and have everything out by the 11th because it is difficult for us to backtrack. Thanks for your cooperation. Tires, paint and chemicals, batteries, used oil, or large pieces of concrete will not be picked up. We will start on the southwest corner of town and move east, and then start on the north side of town on the west and move east.

SAVE MONEY!!! STOP WATERING BY OCTOBER 31ST. THIS WILL KEEP THE SEWER PORTION OF YOUR BILL LOWER.

GARBAGE CAN BROKEN? You can call city hall and have it replaced for free. These cans are considered PSI property. PSI has also reported to the city that many cans are overflowing. If your can lid cannot close, it is over full. Please either compact your garbage more or call city hall to order another can. A second can is just $8.81 per month.
