HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
GARBAGE PICKUP: Even though Presidents‘ Day falls on a Monday, garbage pickup will be on Thursday, February 21. PSI recognizes only six
major holidays and this is not one of them.
DOG LICENSES: All dog licenses expired December 31st. The licensing fee for each dog is $12 per year. Penalties for an unlicensed dog start at $100. Just a reminder, inside dogs also need to be licensed.
”
OVERNIGHT PARKING: JUST A REMINDER OF OUR SNOW ORDINANCE – NO PARKING IS ALLOWED ON CITY STREETS FROM DECEMBER 1ST THROUGH MARCH 1ST, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12 O’CLOCK MIDNIGHT AND 7 O’CLOCK A.M. THIS IS THE TIME WHEN MOST SNOW IS CLEARED FROM THE STREETS.
SNOW REMOVAL: The city council has directed the city employees to do their best to remove the snow berm created by the snowplow and grader (no intent to clear driveways). They are concerned about damaging property in the process. We cannot assume liability for any damage that occurs. If under these conditions you would prefer that we not attempt to remove the snow berm in front of your driveway, please inform us and we will not attempt to remove it.
When to call out the snow removal crew/equipment is always a challenge. The decision to remove the slush on the road on January 26 was a good one. Light snowstorms always are a challenge as to when and at what level of snowfall do we call out the crew. The decision is evaluated in view of inconvenience to traffic flow versus expense of snow removal.
