December 2008

Dear Sugar City Residents:

OVERNIGHT PARKING:  Just a reminder of our snow ordinance – no parking is allowed on city streets from December 1st through March 1st, between the hours of 12 o’clock midnight and 7 o’clock a.m.

HOLIDAY GARBAGE PICKUP:  Since Christmas Day and New Year’s Day both fall on Thursday, garbage pickup for those two weeks will be Friday, December 26th and Friday, January 2nd

TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY:  We want to thank all who helped to plan and orchestrate the tree lighting activity.  The lights provided excitement and were beautiful when they were turned on.  Pam and Ivan Gerdes provided a P.A. system with traditional Christmas music.  The elementary school children sang beautifully, directed by Sandra Linderman.  Michelle Davidson led the community singing.  We wish to thank all who helped in any way with this activity.  A special thanks to all who donated lovely homemade cookies.  The weather cooperated perfectly.  A large crowd enjoyed the lighting ceremony.

MEET OUR NEW RECEPTIONIST, NATALIE BAGLEY:  We are pleased to welcome Natalie to our city staff.  She was born and raised in Dover, Pennsylvania.  She attended Ricks College during the school year 1999 where she met Aaron Bagley.  They were married in December 2000 and have three daughters.  Natalie and Aaron resided in Sugar City for the past two years and just recently moved to Salem where they have built a new home.  She works from 1:00 to 4:00 daily.
