Dear Sugar City Residents:  

PIONEER COMMUNITY BREAKFAST:  

Many people were served a wonderful  

breakfast this year. We wish to thank all  

who helped in any way to make this 

activity possible, including our city  

maintenance crew and all the cooks and  

servers. We wish to give a special thank  

you to each of the following:  

Vaun Waddell for overseeing the  

entire activity on behalf of Mayor  

Dalling and the rest of City Council. 

Pam and Ivan Gerdes for the music. 

Stones for the sponsorship and help 

with the cooking and cleanup, etc. 

Kelly Huntsman for supervising the cleanup. 

We appreciate everyone who attended and made it a great success.  

START OF SCHOOL: School starts Wednesday, August 27. We caution  everyone to drive carefully and watch for children. Also notice that during  school hours Center Street will be back down to 25 mph. 

SIGN CHANGE: The signs on Jaxson Street have been changed from  “Jaxon” to “Jaxson”.  

NEW PAYMENT OPTIONS COMING SOON: September 1, 2014 Ability  to view and pay bills online, credit card, smart phone, telephone, etc.  Look for details later.  

REVISIT OF ANIMAL ORDINANCE: The Council has determined to  revisit the Animal Ordinance that was passed on May 8, 2014, and allow  public comment by citizens during City Council Meetings held  August 14th, 28th, and September 11th.  

After the receiving the public comments the ordinance will be subject to  revision and possible repeal. The ordinance is available at City Hall for  review. 

P&Z PUBLIC HEARING: Public Hearing September 4, 2014 at 7 p.m.  for proposed changes to the Land Use Map, the Impact Area Zoning  Map, and the County/Sugar City Impact Area Ordinance.  

DELAY ON STREET PROJECT: We are sorry for the delay on the  completion of the street project for 2nd South, North Front, South Austin,  and Pine Ave (From 2nd South to 3rd South). When weather permits, we  will notify those directly affected of when the project will be completed.
