Dear Sugar City Residents:

DIGGER DAZE FALL FAIR:

Saturday, September 13th from 11 a.m.

to 2 p.m. at the Sugar Salem High School

parking lot. This event is sponsored by the

Sugar Salem Education Foundation.

REVISIT OF ANIMAL ORDINANCE:

The council has determined to revisit the

Animal Ordinance that was passed on May 8, 2014, and allow  public comment by citizens during the city council meeting on  September 11, 2014 (3rd of 3 meetings). After receiving the public  comments the ordinance will be subject to revision and possible  repeal. Copies of the ordinance are available at city hall for review.

LARGE VEHICLE PARKING ORDINANCE: The council  continues to work towards adopting the proposed Large Vehicle  Parking Ordinance. It is still being reviewed and changes are being  made by the council under the direction of our city attorney. No  date has been set for the council vote on the adoption of the  proposed ordinance.

JODY HUNTSMAN: The front page picture and article in the  Standard Journal certainly paid Jody a great honor and tribute that  is well earned and appropriate. Those of you who may not have  had the opportunity to see the paper we encourage you to make an  effort to do so. On behalf of the city we want to express our  appreciation for her service on the Tree and Beautification  Committee for the past five years and the many hours of service  she has given the city. Most notably are the beautiful hanging  flowers and flower barrels on Center Street. For two years she has  faithfully watered and cared for these flowers. This unselfish effort  has not gone unnoticed and we will certainly miss her. We express  our sincere thanks for all her selfless work for the city.
