WATERING: We read the water meters at the end of March. This means you will see an adjustment to your water bill based on how good our winter estimate was. This also means you can start watering again.
SPRING CLEANUP: The date for cleanup is May 11th. This will be the last city–wide clean–up as currently provided by the city, due to rising costs. Per decision of the city council on December 12, 2019, it was decided starting next October to supply a second dumpster for city cleanup for the months of May and October. Please do not put items out on the roads or alleys more than TWO weeks ahead of time. The first week of April, a dumpster will placed on the west side of Silo Park off of North Front & C Street for items that you need to discard before the city clean–up. This year there will be a second dumpster at this location that will be for METALS ONLY. Household garbage is not allowed at the dumpster. We ask that you to take bagged leaves and grass to the city’s dumpster as the city cannot take bagged yard waste during the city cleanup. The dump no longer accepts bagged waste because of the fire they had last year.
SPRINKLER SYSTEMS: If you didn’t have a test on your sprinkler system backflow preventer done last year, please have one done this year and mail your report to City Hall or email to ajacobson@sugarcityidaho.gov. This is necessary to ensure that contamination of the water supply will not happen in the event of a pressure loss to the water system. Thank you to those that have already brought in test results.
