CITY CLEANUP SURVEYS: Thanks to those that have turned in their city cleanup surveys.
The council will be making a decision as to how to move forward with this issue in the near future.
COMMUNITY BREAKFAST & SUGAR DAYS CELEBRATION: City Council will be discussing whether to allow the event to happen or not at their next council meeting. The date for the celebration is July 11th (second Saturday in July). The breakfast will be from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Sugar Days Celebration from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Heritage Park. The city is moving forward with the preparations and we are inviting vendors to sign up to join in the festivities, if you are interested please call city hall for more information. The city has reserved five inflatables and a rock climbing wall. There will be several children’s games and a possible car show and talent show along with various vendors selling crafts and food. The event planning is moving forward until we hear of a council decision to do otherwise.
TREE & BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE: The committee is in need of volunteers. If you are interested please call city hall for information.
**BILLING & PAYMENT CHANGES**: We are requesting those that have computers and internet access create an account at www.paymentnetworkservice.com (PSN) to receive bills ELECTRONICALLY. You may also go to sugarcityidaho.gov, under “PAY BILLS & FEES” tab & click on “PAY UTILITY BILL” to create an account. Creating this account for e–billing does not require you to pay through this website. Thank you for your cooperation. For utility payments you may (listed in preference):
Pay online at PSN (PAYMENT SERVICE NETWORK); you may set up for paperless billing here and auto pay if desired.
*A convenience fee of $1.00 will be applied to checking and savings payments. A convenience fee of 2.75% will be applied to credit card payments. An additional 50¢ is applied for payments below $100.*
Pay at sugarcityidaho.gov under “PAY BILLS & FEES” tab and you may “PAY WATER BILL DIRECTLY” from checking or savings account with no fees.
Set up bill pay through your own financial institution, which sends a check (allow at least 5 days for city to receive it).
Mail check to: SUGAR CITY HALL, P.O. BOX 56, SUGAR CITY, ID 83448.
Leave check or money order payment (no cash please) in drop box by office door.
SEWAGE PROBLEMS: Our city insurance provider has asked us to remind all citizens, “… of the importance of NOT flushing flushable wipes, sanitizer wipes, paper towels or anything else that isn’t toilet paper.” Please help us prevent sewer backups by disposing of these things some other way.
SPRINKLER SYSTEMS: If you didn’t have a test on your sprinkler system backflow preventer done last year, please have one done this year and mail your report to City Hall. This is necessary to ensure that contamination of the water supply will not happen in the event of a pressure loss to the water system. Thank you to those that have already brought in test results.
