Dear Sugar City Residents:

We look forward to the New Year with enthusiasm and excitement.  Hopefully, we will see the completion of the bike path and the building of the infrastructure for the business park.  The joint planners of Cooper Roberts Simonsen Associates will be submitting their report to Madison County, Rexburg and Sugar City that should provide help with the challenges relating to the Toscano development and the Old Farm Estates.

TREE LIGHTING SUCCESS:  We would like to thank all who helped with the tree lighting activity in Heritage Park.  The Christmas carols by the school children under the direction of Saundra Linderman were excellent.  We appreciated the speaker system and music provided by Pam & Ivan Gerdes.  The cookies provided by the women and the hot chocolate added a nice touch. The attendance was good.  The weather was cold but the spirit was warm.

OVERNIGHT PARKING REMINDER:  No parking is allowed on city streets from December 1st through March 1st, between the hours of 12 o’clock midnight and 7 o’clock a.m.  We intend to remove snow between the hours of midnight and 7 or 8 a.m.

GARBAGE CANS:  Please make sure your garbage can is easily accessible – on the road and not the sidewalk, and away from parked vehicles.  PSI has asked us to remind residents that they need to have 3 feet around each garbage can in order to can get the truck’s mechanical arms around your garbage can to dump it.  Please keep other cans, parked cars, and snow piles 3 feet from garbage cans.  Thank you.
