Dear Sugar City Residents:

JOB OPENING:  Part-time receptionist needed.  Inquire at City Hall.

HOUSE NUMBERS:  Our maintenance employees are having a difficult time finding houses in the city.  Please see that numbers are put on your homes.

TOWN INFORMATIONAL MEETING:  The Planning and Zoning Commission is calling another town meeting on Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m. at City Hall on a new zoning map.  From the input they received at the last town meeting, they have a new plan, which they want to submit.  At a later date there will be a public hearing.  You can find a copy of the proposed map on the city Web site; and if you cannot get to the Web site, you can come to City Hall and pick up a copy.  If you would like to comment and cannot make it to the meeting, would you submit your comments prior to the meeting to City Hall either in the drop box or in person.

SPRING CLEANUP:  A special thanks to the city crew for their work during spring cleanup.  They request, however, that for fall cleanup which is scheduled to start October 12 that all grass clippings and leaves be bagged in sturdy bags and stacked separately from tree limbs.

TREE AND BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE:  In behalf of the Tree and Beautification Committee, the Mayor and the City Council heartfelt thanks are extended to all who donated money and/or time to the purchase and planting of the flowers for the monument and for the flower barrels.  This project is under the direction of the Tree and Beautification Committee.  This committee meets regularly and is constantly working to beautify the city.  We thank them for their service to the community on an ongoing basis.
