HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
We welcome our new Mayor:
- Lamont Merrill!
We also welcome the new members of the Planning and Zoning Committee: Brent Barrus & Barbara Carpenter, and the City Council: Bruce Arnell & Matt Garner
Flower Decorations: The beautiful flowers that grace out city’s main street have created a perfect dimension in our sweet city. We hope you have enjoyed the scene as you have driven down Main Street during the summer months. The Tree and Beautification Committee plans to continue bringing the splashes of color to Sugar City. If you would like to contribute to the Flower Fund, it would be greatly appreciated. We would like to thank those who have donated in the past and to our city employees for their work to help beautify our ‘Model City’.
Easter Egg Hunt: Mark your calendars! On April 4th, 9 a.m. in
Smith Park we will have our annual East Egg Hunt
Overnight Parking: Beginning March 1st, our snow ordinance
is no longer in affect. We appreciate your continued cooperation
in not parking on the streets when we have a snow storm. If you
are removing excess snow please find a spot on your property to pile it.
Public Hearing for Zone Change: There will be a public hearing on March 5th at 7p.m. The zone change will take place for River Bend Ranch, north of Sugar City.
Credit Card Payment Option: Never write another check? You don’t have to when you pay your Sugar City utility bill online. Go to: SugarCityIdaho.gov. We accept eCheck, MasterCard, VISA & Discover.
Mailbox Statement:
Because of the changes in the Rental fee rules for post office boxes; many in the city will be installing individual mail boxes. Please be careful not to install them where it would be a hazard to the city crews moving snow; such as close to your driveway. The city cannot be liable for any damages that may occur from the normal operation of its snow removal equipment.
