SPRINKLER SYSTEMS: If you didn’t have a test on your sprinkler system backflow preventer done last year, please have one done this year and return your report to City Hall or email:
ajacobson@sugarcityidaho.gov.
Happy Mother’s Day
This is necessary to ensure that contamination of the water supply will not happen in the event of a pressure loss to the water system. Thank you to those that have already brought in test results. Odd numbered addresses are to be tested in odd numbered years and even numbered addresses are to be tested in even numbered years. If you have an even numbered address and did not test last year, those need to be tested this year also. Thank you for your cooperation!

HOLIDAY GARBAGE PICKUP: Because of Memorial Day on Monday, May 31st, garbage pickup for that week will be Saturday, June 5th.
HAZARDOUS WASTE DAYS: June 5th & 7th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Madison County Transfer Station by the Rexburg Airport. For more information and to see what items are allowed call 208-356-3102.
CLEANUP REMINDER: City cleanup this year will be in October. A dumpster has been placed on the west side of Silo Park off of North Front & C Street for items that you need to discard. Household garbage is not allowed at the dumpster.
INFORMATION FOR PROPER DISPOSAL OF GARDEN & YARD WASTE: This is important because yard waste in the streets can be washed into the cities drains causing them to plug up. It is difficult to clean the drains out and creates a hazard for potential street flooding. Wet grass and leaves are also a breeding ground for mosquitos. The city would appreciate your cooperation in keeping the gutters clean. Thank you for your attention to this.
