Support our local businesses

November 2008

Dear Sugar City Residents:

SUGAR CITY – CAPITAL FOR A DAY! Sugar City, Idaho’s Capital for a Day, was a great success.  The Governor was very complimentary regarding the organization, preparation and attendance.  We wish to thank all who helped to make it a success.  A special thanks is extended to Superintendent Alan Dunn, Principal Jared Jenks and Assistant Principal Mark Gee for planning, organization and follow through; Bryce Holman and scouts for the awesome flag display; and the Madison County Sheriff’s office for security.  There were so many other key players, too numerous to mention, partly for fear of leaving someone out.  Again, thanks to all who helped and also those who attended and participated.

VETERANS MONUMENT:  The two additional monuments have been added to the Veterans Monument in Neibaur Park, which completes this tribute to our veterans.

OVERNIGHT PARKING:  Just a reminder of our snow ordinance – no parking is allowed on city streets from December 1st through March 1st, between the hours of 12 o’clock midnight and 7 o’clock a.m.

GARBAGE PICKUP:  Because of Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 27, garbage pickup for that week will be Friday, November 28.  City Hall will be closed November 27 and 28 for the holiday.

We wish everyone a special Thanksgiving and hope you have a nice day.  We want to express our thanks to you for your support and giving us the opportunity to serve.  Please feel free to drop in to the city office with questions and/or for information.
